Dons face a tough test against high-flying Oldham at the Club Doncaster Sports Village on Sunday afternoon in the hope of securing play-offs.

The Dons face another tough test in pursuit of the Betfred Championship play-off spots as they take on Oldham at the Club Doncaster Sports Village.
This Sunday, the two teams lock horns again at 3pm for another exciting contest, with previous meetings producing battles that will live long in the memory of both sets of supporters.
In the last three meetings, the Roughyeds have narrowly come out on top, but prior to that, the Dons had won six consecutive matches, including a 36-0 home victory and a 64-12 triumph at Whitebank Stadium.
The aim for Richard Horne’s side now is to return to winning ways against Sunday’s opposition.
Oldham have had a strong campaign and currently sit third in the table, just four points behind league leaders London Broncos. Last time out, they secured a 28-16 victory over fellow high-flyers Barrow Raiders and will be hoping to finish the regular season strongly, with their play-off place already confirmed.
Meanwhile, the Dons continued their impressive form by overcoming Batley Bulldogs 22-10 on Friday night. It was their first game back at the Club Doncaster Sports Village since May 2026, and the result means they have now won five of their last six matches and sit on the brink of securing a play-off place themselves.
Speaking about the Batley win, Horne said: “It was a tough game, both teams were very physical.
“I thought we could have been a bit smarter once we got on the front foot, but we put them under pressure really well at times and forced some errors, which ended up with us putting points on the board.”
On the upcoming match against Oldham, he added: “Apart from London, they are probably the form team. They are playing some really good rugby and grinding out wins.
“Against Barrow, they were 12-4 down at half-time but managed to come out in the second half and put in a really good performance to get a great result.
“Their game management is really strong, and I am sure they will be speaking about what we are going to be speaking about, starting well and making sure we aren’t chasing the game.”
Muizz Mustapha was someone who played an integral role in the Dons’ victory over Batley.
Speaking about returning to the Club Doncaster Sports Village, he said: “It was amazing.
“When you are on a ground that is familiar and you have got the fans behind you, it is really good.
“It has been tough travelling away for the last six weeks, so it is great to be back home, and I am looking forward to the upcoming fixtures.”
When discussing how important the club’s positive recent form is in the hope of finishing as high as possible, Mustapha said: “It’s massive, we want to get a top-four spot.
“Getting as many wins as we can is crucial, so we are just trying to improve each week to build towards the play-offs.”
